  • Is it possible to receive financial support from HITEC to go to scientific conferences?

No, the visit of scientific conferences will be supported by your institute.

  • How do I find the right external mentor?

You should sit down with your supervisor and your scientific advisor and discuss which reknown international scientist from your research field might be of best benefit for you. It could be a well eshablished cooperation partner of your institute or somebody your institute wants to start a cooperation with. But maybe you could profit even more by chosing a person from industry. It is our eperience that external scientists if asked to become a mentor for a doctoral candidate are very open and positive and rarely decline a request.
