Each year in November/December a call for applications for doctoral positions is launched. Up to four so called HITEC Fellows will be selected each year. They work at the Institute of Energy and Climate Research, Forschungszentrum Jülich or at one of the three Central Institutes of Engineering, Forschungszentrum Jülich. They participate in the HITEC Programme and become part of a wider community.
Two new HITEC Fellows 2017
August 2017. They suceeded: two young scientists have been accepted as new PhD students at the Helmholtz Graduate School HITEC and will start their PhD work soon. Forschungszentrum Jülich and its partners will support the new HITEC Fellows financially during their doctoral degree. These young scientists came out on top of the 7 applicants who took part in the one-week selection procedure which concluded with a poster presentation. The successful candidates were selected by the graduate school’s international Advisory Board. They are from India und Pakistan. The number of applications and the level of the applicants increased continously over the years. In total, 287 applications were received for the scholarship this time - all candidates performed at a very high level.
