Each university and faculty has its own registration procedure and you, as a doctoral researcher, are responsible for registering your dissertation. Make sure you register your dissertation in good time and find out what your obligations are. Make sure you are familiar with the regulations of your university. The university will examine international degrees to determine whether they are equivalent to a German degree. If your degree is not fully recognized, you may be offered the opportunity to take specific courses and exams related to your field of research to qualify for full admission to a doctoral program later.
