Innovation and Entrepreneurship
In this course, you learn about methods on how to transfer your ideas into practical solutions for industry and society – for example with a science-based start-up, the licensing of a technology, or an open-source project based on your developed software. All pathways of knowledge- and technology transfer will be equally considered.
The “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” course is divided into 2 parts. During the 1.5 hour online seminar, you learn about Forschungszentrum Jülich´s approach towards innovation and how you are supported throughout your innovation projects. You talk about the meaning of innovation activities for your career development and discuss the opportunities and challenges to consider when engaging in technology transfer.
In the subsequent on-site workshop (1 day), you work in groups on real innovation cases. You learn how to identify and evaluate a promising idea and how to present it in the form of a pitch. A first draft of a business model is developed, considering aspects such as use scenarios, possible application fields, key partners, as well as target groups and potential customers.
Specific dates for this course, which is only offered by JuDocS, can be found on DokMS.
