HITEC Come is a guest programme designed by the doctoral researchers themselves. They can invite their external mentor, a fellow doctoral researcher or a senior scientist for a research stay at Forschungszentrum Jülich or for scientific talks. HITEC will pay up to 2,000 € for these visits. The talks should also be open to other HITEC doctoral researchers.

HITEC doctoral researchers have the opportunity to apply for a research stay in a laboratory of their choice abroad in order to deepen their knowledge and international experience. The duration of the stay can vary but should be substantial enough to provide a deeper insight into the research at the host institution. HITEC supports these research stays with up to 2500€ per visit.

HITEC provides funding for visits to the HITEC external mentor. These visits, which should take place 1-2 times during the 3-year PhD period, should last at least 2-3 days. HITEC supports these trips with up to €1,000 per visit within Europe and up to €1,750 outside Europe.
